Japan’s final quarter GDP grows 0.1%

Japan's Cabinet Office announced that the country's 2004 final quarter GDP (Gross Domestic Product) had been revised from initial estimates of a 0.1% contraction to growth of 0.1%. On an annualized basis, the world's second-largest economy rose 0.5% compared to an initially reported drop of 0.5%. Economists indicate that Japan should be back on track in the coming months as private consumption picks up.
