According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in March this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 899,501 units, increasing by 10,924 units or 1.2 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
Domestic automobile sales in March of the current year in Japan stood at 635,901 vehicles, down 8.6 percent as compared with the same month last year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in March amounted to 404,004 units, up by 7,208 units or 1.8 percent year on year.
