Japanese auto output up 0.2 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in November 2019 Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 804,523 units, decreasing by 9.3 percent compared to the same month of 2018. Meanwhile, in the January-November period of 2019, Japanese automobile production increased by 0.2 percent year on year to 8,958,998 units.

Domestic automobile sales in November last year in Japan stood at 385,858 vehicles, declining by 12.7 percent as compared with the same month of 2018. Meanwhile, in the January-November period last year domestic automobile sales in Japan fell by 0.7 percent year on year to 4,850,341 units.

In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in November amounted to 413,054 units, down by 4.1 percent year on year. In the first eleven months last year, Japanese automobile exports increased by 0.8 percent year on year to 4,418,870 mt.
