Japanese auto output rises 5.6 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in November last year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 847,718 units, rising by 0.9 percent compared to the same month of 2016. Meanwhile, in January-November period of 2017, Japanese automobile production increased by 5.6 percent year on year to 8,892,667 units.

Domestic automobile sales in November last year in Japan stood at 406,860 vehicles, down 2.6 percent as compared with the same month of 2016. Meanwhile, in January-November period of 2017 domestic automobile sales in Japan increased by 5.8 percent year on year to 4,839,912 units.

In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in November amounted to 438,377 units, up by 3.6 percent year on year. In the first 11 months of 2017, Japanese automobile exports increased by 1.4 year on year to 4,272,458 mt.
