Japanese auto output down 6.9 percent in February

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in February this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 766,804 units, decreasing by 57,060 units or 6.9 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
 
Domestic automobile sales in February of the current year in Japan stood at 451,330 vehicles, down 6.4 percent as compared with the same month of last year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in February amounted to 369,410 units, up by 3,555 units or one percent year on year.
