ITC determination on LWR tubes imported from Turkey and Mexico

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that U.S industry is not materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of light-walled rectangular (LWR) pipe and tube from Turkey and Mexico. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) on September 2, 2004 determined that the imports of LWR pipe and tube from Turkey and Mexico cause material injury or threaten US industry with material injury as the aforementioned products are sold in the US at less than fair value. Upon the decision of DOC, ITC would determine in 45 days whether these imports are causing material injury, or threat of material injury to an industry in the US. As a result of the voting, ITC determined that US industry is not materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of LWR pipe and tube from Turkey and Mexico. Therefore, no antidumping duty orders will be issued on imports of subject merchandise from Turkey and Mexico.
