Italy’s industrial output down 0.9 percent in October from September

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in October this year the seasonally adjusted index of Italian industrial production decreased by 0.9 percent compared to September and declined by 4.2 percent compared to October 2010.

Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of 2011 the index increased by 0.6 percent compared to January-October 2010.

In October this year, seasonally adjusted indexes for all industrial sectors decreased year on year. The worst performances included consumer goods and energy (-5.3 percent) and intermediate goods (-3.8 percent).
