Italy’s GDP down 2.8 percent in fourth quarter

According to the revised data issued by Italy's national statistics institute Istat, in the fourth quarter of 2012 Italy's seasonally adjusted and calendar adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) fell 2.8 percent year-on-year and by 0.9 percent quarter-on-quarter. The fourth quarter is the sixth quarter in a row in which a quarter-on-quarter fall has been recorded.
