Italy's crude steel output down 12.6 percent in May

In May this year, Italian crude steel output decreased by 12.6 percent year on year to 2.002 million metric tons, while in the first five months of the year the output figure amounted to 9.828 million mt, down 10.2 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai.
 
Italian crude steel output in May of the current year was also lower compared to the crude steel outputs of 2.656 million mt in May 2011, 2.607 million mt in May 2012 and 2.307 million mt in May 2013.
