Italian crude steel production rises by 8.3 percent in September

In September this year, crude steel production in Italy amounted to 2.174 million metric tons, up 8.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai.

Italian crude steel output had increased also in August, July and June, after decreasing in both April and May this year, all on year-on-year basis.

In the January-September period of the current year, Italian crude steel production amounted to 17.775 million metric tons, rising by 2.5 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in August this year, Italy's long steel output amounted to 364,000 metric tons, increasing by 8.7 percent, while Italian flat steel output totaled 670,000 metric tons, decreasing by 7.5 percent, both year on year.
