Italian crude steel production down in November and up in January-November

In November this year, Italian producers' crude steel output decreased by 1 percent year on year to 2.186 million metric tons, as announced by the Italian steel association Federacciai.

However, November's output volume is higher compared to the 2.114 million mt recorded in November 2016, the 1.868 million mt recorded in November 2015, the 1.852 million mt registered in November 2014 and the 2.157 million mt produced in the same month of 2013.

In the January-November period this year, Italian crude steel output amounted to 22.822 million mt, up 2.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the first ten months of the current year Italy's long steel output amounted to 10.463 million metric tons, increasing by 4.9 percent year on year. In the same period, Italian flat steel output totaled 9.328 million metric tons, decreasing by 1.3 percent year on year.
