The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) expects that global stainless crude steel production in 2007 will be higher than the record-level of production in 2006.
ISSF expects global stainless crude steel production to reach 29.8 million metric tons in 2007. This indicates a rise of 5.1 percent on 2006 production.
Global stainless steel production increased 16.7 percent year on year to 28.4 million metric tons in 2006.
