Ispat Karmet plans tube mill

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Economy and Trade has reported that Ispat Karmet, LNM Group's integrated steel mill in Kazakhstan is planning to invest $65 million to build a new 60'000-metric ton per year OCTG plant by year 2005. With pipeline material, Ispat Karmet is aiming to serve for oil and gas industries in Central Asia. Tubular products of the new plant will reach to 400-mm diameter, that will enable the rate of production to reach to 1 million metric ton per year in five years' period.
