Isdemir beats production record

Iskenderun Iron & Steel Works (Isdemir) announced today that its annual production will again exceed 2 million tons this year. Isdemir indicated that its billet production as of December 25, 2005, has already hit 2,014,780 tons, which marks the highest production figure in the company history. The previous highest production level recorded by the company was in 2004, with a production level of 2,013,000 tons. Moreover, Isdemir also broke production record in its 2. Blast Furnace and 1.Billet Caster, with production levels of 914,605 tons and 1,098,962 tons, respectively. In line with the statement released by the company, Isdemir aims to take place in global markets and to increase its share in iron and steel industry through its advanced technology, product quality and modern management policy.
