Iron ore production of BHP Billiton increased by 22%

Australian mining giant BHP Billiton has recently announced that iron ore production increased by 22% in three-month period ended on March 31, 2004 depending on strong demand in Asia. Iron ore production is reported to have increased to 21.09 million tons in the aforementioned period against 17.24 million tons recorded in the same period of previous year.
