Iron ore import prices in Hebei Province down 35.3 percent in Sept

According to the figures released by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC), in September this year iron ore import prices in China’s Hebei Province indicated a decline of 35.3 percent year on year.
 
In September, the aggregate iron ore import volume of 22 large and medium-size iron ore importers in Hebei Province totaled 7.201 million mt, down 1.4 percent compared to the same month of last year, according to the monitoring carried out by the MOC.
 
Meanwhile, in the given month the overall value and average price of the iron ore import volume in question were $780 million and $108.4/mt, decreasing by 34.4 percent and 35.3 percent respectively, both year on year.
