According to the information released by Port Hedland Port Authority, in April of the current year iron ore shipments made from Port Hedland to China amounted to 34.86 million metric tons, rising by 10.6 percent compared to the previous month and increasing by 6.9 percent year on year. South Korea and Japan followed China in April, receiving 3.42 million mt and 2.26 million mt respectively.
