Investment in metallurgical industry in Shanxi up 147.4% in Jan-Apr

In the first four months of the current year, investment in the metallurgical industry in China's Shanxi Province totaled RMB 2.392 billion ($377.94 million), up 147.4 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Shanxi Province.

Accordingly, in the given period investment in the steel sector in Shanxi totaled RMB 1.957 billion ($309.20 million), up 114.6 percent, while investment in the local ferrous metal ore mining and dressing sector reached RMB 435 million ($68.73 million), up 124.0 percent, both year on year.
