The Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced that it has successfully passed the qualification tests held in Italy for its premium gas-tight UPJ-M threaded connections. Accordingly, test results confirmed the compliance of Interpipe's UPJ-M threaded connections to the ISO 13679 CAL IV standard.

The company stated that its premium UPJ-M threaded connections ensure reliable operation of pipe products even in the most complex and deep wells. Gas tightness of the thread ensures high environmental friendliness of the well, virtually eliminating leakage.

CAL IV standard is a mandatory requirement in many oil and gas projects in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin and Central America and the CIS. The presence of such a standard will allow Interpipe to meet the technical requirements of previously unavailable projects.
