The Ukrainian pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe Corporation (Interpipe) has announced that its Dnepropetrovsk-based subsidiary Interpipe NTRP has started the production of the first consignment of 5,000 wheel centers for Russian freight locomotive manufacturer Sinara Transport Machines, a subsidiary of Sinara group, a diversified company incorporating enterprises from different industries.
Accordingly, the production of rolled wheel machining centers for electric and diesel locomotives at Interpipe NTRP mill is carried out according to Russian Federation standard GOST R 15.201-2000. The NBRWT TM-02 safety standard, as used by the Federal Railway Wheels Transport of the Russian Federation, has been taken as the basis for the production of the wheel centers in question. Russian and Ukrainian standardization systems have also been considered in the production processes and in the relevant documentation. The technical requirements for the production have been agreed with the customer, approved by the Department of Technical Policy of Russian Railways (RZhD), and registered with Ukraine's State Committee of Ukraine for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy.
