Interpipe Steel’s crude steel output down 24% in January-May

Interpipe Steel, the electric steel-melting complex of Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe, has announced that in January-May this year its production of crude steel declined by 24 percent compared to the same period of last year to 376,000 mt.

In May alone, the company produced 88,000 mt of crude steel compared to 65,000 mt in April.

Interpipe Steel is a key project for Interpipe, designed to provide the company's pipe and wheel production with its own steel billets.
