The Ukrainian pipe producer Interpipe has announced that its Nikopol-based subsidiary Interpipe Niko Tube has been included in the approved list of suppliers of the world's largest oil producing company Saudi Aramco.
Accordingly, representatives of Aramco Overseas Company visited Interpipe Niko Tube in October 2009, and examined the mill's quality management system and carried out a technical audit. The prequalification audit showed that the mill meets the requirements of the international quality audit system, of the international quality management system and Saudi Aramco's requirements of pipe producing technologies.
"The receipt of the status of the official supplier of Saudi Aramco is one more step towards the strengthening of Interpipe's positions in the Middle East," reads the company's statement.
Interpipe has already been approved as an official supplier of Kuwait Oil Company and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, UAE.
