INSIG posts increase in output

The Iranian steel producer Iranian National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) increased its finished steel output by 34 percent year on year to 890,000 metric tons in the first ten months of current Iranian year (March 21, 2007-January 20, 2008), the company has stated.

INSIG's products include construction steel, ingots, various kinds of wires and rods, pipes and girders, and are used for domestic projects.  

According to the company, it plans to increase its steel output up to 1.2 million metric tons by the end of the current Iranian year (ending March 20, 2008).
