Indonesia's iron and steel import value up 11.5% in Oct from Sept

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in October this year the value of Indonesia's iron and steel imports increased by 11.48 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to $679.9 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel decreased by 13.23 percent month on month to $330.5 million.
 
In the January-October period of the current year, Indonesia's iron and steel import value amounted to $6.84 billion, falling 17.12 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $3.55 billion, down 12.33 percent year on year.
