India’s RINL targets steel output of 6.4 million mt for FY 2019-20

Indian state-run steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has set a steel production target of 6.4 million mt for the fiscal year 2019-20, according to a company official.

The official said that the production target for the year will be formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to be signed with India’s Ministry of Steel next week.

For the fiscal year 2018-19, RINL had set a steel production target of 6.1 million mt, while it closed the year with steel production of 5.5 million mt.
