Indian government-owned trading firm MMTC Limited is seeking global suppliers for manganese ore for a period of one year, company sources said on Thursday, July 26.

The sources said that MMTC Limited is seeking to register global suppliers of manganese ore, mine owners and/or traders to supply the mineral for a period of one year from the date of selection and registration of the supplier.

While no firm commitment has been specified for the volumes to be supplied to MMTC Limited, it has been stipulated in the Expression of Interest (EoI) floated by the latter that each of the registered mine owners and/or traders should have previous experience of having completed supplies of at least 50,000 mt of manganese ore in a year.

All prospective suppliers will have to submit their bid documents by August 9, 2018 and the Indian trading firm will register one or more supplier for a period of one year during which MMTC will place its order for the required volume with these specific suppliers.
