India’s MMTC seeks to export chrome ore concentrate via e-tender

Indian government trading firm MMTC Limited is seeking to export 11,000 mt of low silica chrome ore concentrate through a competitive e-tendering process, industry sources said on Wednesday, May 16.

International buyers will be able to submit their bids by May 25, for the chrome ore concentrate originating from the mines of Tata Steel located in the eastern Indian state of Odisha.

MMTC is the canalizing agency for all exports of chrome ore and chrome ore concentrates from India on behalf of all domestic producers as such exports are subject to qualitative and quantitative restrictions imposed by the Indian government.
