India’s JSW Ltd emerges as preferred bidder for three iron ore blocks in Karnataka

Indian private sector steel producer JSW Limited has emerged as the ‘preferred bidder’ for three iron ore blocks in the southern state of Karnataka, according to regulatory filings of the company on Thursday, August 1.

The company said that its bids for the three iron ore mines, Narayanapura Manganese and Iron Ore block, Dharmapura Iron Ore block and BBH Iron ore block, with combined estimated reserves of about 93 million mt, had been declared as winning bids at the auction conducted by the state government based on the weighted average of the final offer submitted by JSW Limited.
