India’s coking coal imports up 3 percent in 2018 year-on-year

According to provisional customs data, India imported 51.31 million mt of coking coal in 2017. In 2018, India imported 53.02 million mt, up 3 percent from the previous year. A source noted that the 5.71 million mt provisional customs data recorded for December is the highest monthly import amount ever.
