Indian SAIL increases long product prices again

According to market reports from the industry Steel Authority of India (SAIL), leading steel producer of India, plans another price increase around Rupees 500/t (around $11/t) on its long products within a week. Last week SAIL raised its prices by Rs 1'000/t ($21.7/t). It is also stated that this second price increase will face no reaction by the market as domestic demand for long products, particularly to re-rolled bars, is pretty high due to activity seen in construction operations.
