India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has reported iron ore production of 15.95 million mt in the April-October period this year, compared to 15.47 million mt in the corresponding period of the previous year. NMDC posted sales of 17.14 million mt of iron ore for the April-October period of the current year, compared to total sales of 16.54 million mt during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Though operating results improved month on month in October, the company’s production for the month was at 2.49 million mt, still 23 percent lower compared to the same month in 2018 due to rains in Chhattisgarh and the closure of the Donimalai mine late last year.
