Indian finished steel production up 3.6 percent in November

Indian finished steel production in November this year stood at 10.87 million mt, up 3.6 percent over the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data released on Monday, December 10, by the Joint Plant Committee (JPC), the only institution empowered by India’s Ministry of Steel to compile Indian steel industry data.

According to the JPC data, pig iron production in November of the current year was estimated at 490,000 mt, compared to 470,000 mt in the corresponding month of the previous year.
