Indian crude steel production in January this year was recorded at 8.99 million mt, down 3.84 percent year on year, according to data released by the Joint Plant Committee (JPC) under Ministry of Steel and the sole official compiler of industry data.
This was the second consecutive month of year-on-year decline in Indian crude steel production, with crude steel production in December last year at 8.93 million mt, down 1.4 percent year on year.
