Indian automobile sales decline by 12 percent in November

Indian automobile sales declined by 12.05 percent year on year in November this year, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

According to SIAM, aggregate automobile sales in November were recorded at 1.792 million units, compared to 2 million units in the corresponding month of the previous year.

In the passenger car segment, sales in November this year totaled 160,306 units, down 10.83 percent year on year.

In the commercial vehicles segment, sales were recorded at 61,907 units in the given month, down 14.98 percent year on year, SIAM data showed.
