India imposes AD duty on ex-China casting components for wind generators

India has imposed antidumping (AD) duty on imports from China of castings used as components in wind operated generators, an official in Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday September 5.

The official said that the AD duty ranging between 6.74 percent and 18.48 percent will be valid for five years effective as of September 1, 2017.

Castings used in wind generators generally include components like the main frame, bearing house, bearing support, shaft, main axle, rotor coupling and arm support.
