Hunan Valin Steel’s net profit up 64.53 percent in 2018

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) has announced that in 2018 it registered an operating revenue of RMB 91.18 billion ($13.6 billion), up 19.09 percent year on year, and a net profit of RMB 6.78 billion ($1.01 billion), rising by 64.53 percent.

Hunan Valin Steel also stated that it produced 16.31 million mt of pig iron, 19.72 million mt of crude steel and 18.36 million mt of finished steel in 2018, increasing by 10.0 percent, 14.0 percent and 10.0 percent year on year, respectively.
