Hunan Valin Steel’s finished steel output up 15.9% in Jan, sales down

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) has announced respective pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs of 1.7 million mt, 2.13 million mt and 1.97 million mt for January of the current year, increasing by 16.4 percent, 17.7 percent and 14.5 percent from December 2019, while up 14.9 percent, 18.3 percent and 15.9 percent year on year, respectively.

Meanwhile, its finished steel sales amounted to 1.66 million mt in January, decreasing by 5.7 percent month on month and declining by 2.35 percent year on year.
