Hoa Phat Group exceeds planned finished steel output volume in 2017

Vietnam-based steel producer Hoa Phat Group has announced that its finished steel output in 2017 increased by 25 percent year on year to three million mt, achieving its highest-ever annual steel production volume. In the given year, of the company’s total finished steel output, construction steel products accounted for 2.2 million mt, steel pipes accounted for 600,000 mt and galvanized steel accounted for the remaining 200,000 mt.

Hoa Phat stated that it exceeded its planned finished steel production volume in 2017 by nearly 10 percent.

In 2017, Hoa Phat exported 200,000 mt of steel products, with more than 161,000 mt of steel bars and rolled products, to markets including the US, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Cambodia. In addition, the company continues to increase its high quality wire rod deliveries to the export markets.
