Vietnam-based Hoa Phat Group reported about exports of 20,000 mt of steel bars from its new Dung Quat project to Canada. Customers from Canada were interested in Hoa Phat products for more than a year and now the company has an opportunity to expand sales abroad owing to higher production volumes and good quality as a result of the launch of the first phase of Dung Quat project this year (capable of producing 2 million mt of long steel per year).
Hoa Phat has also exported over 20,000 mt of high quality long steel to Japan from Dung Quat port this year.
“The export of steel bars to Canada and rolled steel to Japan proves high competitiveness and confirms the quality of Hoa Phat construction steel in the market,” the company said in the release.
