Highveld to sell Transalloys unit

Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation (Highveld) - the second largest South African steel producer and subsidiary of the Russian Evraz Group - has stated that it is currently in talks to sell one of its ferroalloy production units, namely Transalloys.

"A further announcement in this regard will be released if an agreement is reached. Until such time, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in Highveld shares," the company said.
