Henan Province to implement production cuts as of November 15

The Department of Environmental Protection of Henan Province in China has announced that the province will implement measures aimed at reducing environmental pollution in the winter season during the period from November 15, 2018 to March 15, 2019.

Accordingly, steelmakers with overall ultra-low emissions and electric furnace-based steelmaking production facilities will exempt from production halts, steelmakers whose sintering sections have achieved ultra-low emissions will implement 20 percent production cuts, while steelmakers that have not achieved ultra-low emissions will implement 50 percent production cuts.
