Hebei Steel’s Yanshan mine exceeds iron ore concentrate output target

On December 30, Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that in the current year up to and including December 25 the Yanshan iron ore mine of its subsidiary Hebei Iron and Steel Group Mining Co. achieved a total iron ore concentrate output of 1.7719 million mt, exceeding the targeted output of 1.67 million mt for the whole of the current year.

Meanwhile, Hebei Iron and Steel Group also announced that its subsidiary Xuanhua Iron and Steel Co. has won a tender to supply 25,000 mt of steel angles for transmission towers for State Grid Corporation of China.

Additionally, another Hebei Steel Group subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. has won a tender to supply 60,000 mt of 32 mm rebar for the Zhengzhou high-speed rail tunnel project in Henan Province. 3,500 mt of the total has already been delivered.
