On February 17, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that its subsidiary Hebei Iron and Steel Group Mining Co. (Hebei Steel Mining) produced 694,600 mt of iron ore concentrate in January this year, 14,600 mt more than its output target for the given month and up 13.61 percent year on year.
As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Hebei Steel Mining produced 7.55 million mt of iron ore concentrate in 2013, up 4.57 percent year on year.
