Hebei Province’s crude steel output down 8.9 percent in January-April

In the January-April period of the current year, outputs of pig iron, crude steel and finished steel in China's Hebei Province amounted to 60.751 million mt, 67.653 million mt and 76.449 million mt, down 15.7 percent, 8.9 percent and 6.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics.

In April alone, the province's pig iron and crude steel outputs amounted to 17.295 million mt and 19.298 million mt, down 7.2 percent and 1.1 percent, respectively, while its finished steel output totaled 22.299 million mt, up 6.3 percent year on year.
