Heavy truck sales in China up 18 percent in January

In January this year, heavy truck sales in China amounted to around 110,000 units, up 22.2 percent month on month and increasing by 18 percent year on year, hitting a record high compared to previous months of January, and maintaining the year-on-year uptrend seen since July last year, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider.

Market analysts expressed the view that some mainstream enterprises postponed their sales from the end of last year to the beginning of this year, resulting in the good performance in January this year.

However, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the good performance is unlikely to continue in heavy truck sales in February due to the negative impact on transportation.
