In October this year, heavy truck sales in China amounted to around 90,000 units, up 7.7 percent month on month and increasing by 12.4 percent year on year, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider.

In the January-October period of the year, heavy truck sales totaled 979,000 units, increasing by 3.05 percent year on year, shifting from a year-on-year decline of 1.0 percent in the January-September period.

Market analysts think that, with the deadline of the end of the year approaching for the mandatory use of diesel-powered trucks adhering to new discharge standards with the phasing out of old diesel-powered trucks, demand for trucks adhering to the new standards is expected to be boosted. Meanwhile, with Double Eleven day (November 11) - a major national shopping day in China - drawing closer, many logistics companies are buying trucks to meet the strong demand from shoppers. It is expected that heavy truck sales in China will likely exceed 1.14 million units in 2019.
