In March this year, heavy truck sales in China amounted to 144,000 units, up 85.0 percent month on month and rising by 4.0 percent year on year, reaching the highest-ever monthly volume, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider. In the January-March period of the year, heavy truck sales totaled 320,700 units, compared to 323,400 units in the same period last year.
The launch of infrastructure projects and strong sales of natural gas-fueled trucks are thought to have contributed to the surge in heavy truck sales in March.
