In response to the EU’s tariffs on US imports in retaliation for the Section 232 tariffs, US-based motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson has announced that it will be moving its EU-bound production outside of the US.

The company has assembly plants in Australia, Brazil, India and Thailand as well as in the US.

US President Donald Trump threatened Harley Davidson via a tweet with higher taxes, while in a comment on this a Reuters report stated, “It was unclear what taxes Trump was referring to and why the company might have to pay them, since it will maintain production in the United States for US customers.”
