Hansteel’s HVA long steel product sales up 160 percent in January

On February 25, Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) announced that its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) sold 34,095 mt of high value-added (HVA) long steel products in January this year, including steel used in producing gears, alloy steel, and steel used in producing bearings and tire cords, indicating an increase of 20,933 mt or 160 percent year on year.
