Hansteel starts deliveries of CR auto sheet to Dongfeng Motor Corp

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Handan Iron and Steel (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that it has delivered its first batch of cold rolled automotive sheet to Chinese car manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Corporation. The batch in question consisted of 118 mt of CR auto sheet of 1.0 mm in thickness and 1,250 mm in width.
 
On July 17 this year, Hansteel signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dongfeng Motor Corp, officially becoming a supplier of automotive sheet to the car producer. Last year, Hansteel sold a total of 400,000 mt of steel used in automobile manufacture, also including exports to the European market.
